Official Scorers in Sawyer County, Wisconsin

If you take a trophy buck or bear in Sawyer County, you need to find an official measurer to get it in the record books. The heavy forest cover and glacial terrain around the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest consistently produce heavy-racked whitetails. Whether you are hunting the deep timber or the edges of the flowage, having a local contact for scoring is essential once your harvest is down and the drying period is complete.

There is currently one official scorer available in the county located in Winter. Herman Feller provides measuring services for hunters in the southern part of the county near the Flambeau River state forest. You should call ahead to schedule an appointment and ensure all required paperwork is ready for the certification process.
