Official Scorers in Shelby County, Illinois

Shelby County produces heavy-racked whitetails every year, especially along the Kaskaskia River bottomlands and the timber surrounding Lake Shelbyville. When you drop a buck that looks like it might clear the minimums for the record books, you need a certified measurement. These officials handle the logistics of scoring your trophy under the specific guidelines required for regional and national recognition.

Loran E. "Gene" Davis in Shelbyville provides these measuring services for local hunters. Having an official scorer nearby saves you from hauling a cape and rack across the state to verify your harvest. Whether you are looking for a green score or a final entry after the drying period, these contacts ensure your deer is documented correctly.
