Official Scorers in Scioto County, Ohio

Scioto County sits in a prime section of southern Ohio where big whitetails are common. If you harvest a buck that meets the minimums for the Buckeye Big Buck Club or Boone and Crockett, you need a certified measurement to make it official. The rugged terrain and hardwood ridges here produce heavy antlers every season, making local scoring services a necessity for hunters tracking trophy records.

There are currently two official scorers available in the area, covering both Peebles and Portsmouth. You can contact Gene Peach in Portsmouth to schedule a session once the required drying period has passed. Having these local options saves you from hauling your trophy across the state to find a qualified measurer.
