Official Scorers in Itasca County, Minnesota

Itasca County produces heavy-racked bucks every season, especially around the big water and thick timber of the Deer Lake area. When you put a mature deer on the ground here, getting it officially measured is the only way to know how it ranks in the record books. Local hunters rely on precise scoring to verify the typical or non-typical antler growth common to these northern woods.

You can find an official scorer located in Deer Lake to handle your trophy. Carey Ferrell provides the necessary measuring services for hunters needing a sanctioned score for their whitetail. Having a local contact makes it easier to get your mount processed without driving across the state.
