Official Scorers in Buchanan County, Missouri

If you put down a mature buck in Buchanan County, getting an accurate measurement is the next step for the record books. The river bottom timber and agricultural fringe around St. Joseph consistently produce heavy-racked deer that require a trained eye to score properly. You need someone who understands the specific deductions and spread requirements for Pope and Young or Boone and Crockett entries.

There are currently five official scorers available in this area, with all of them based directly in St. Joseph. Local measurers like Brian Barthamine can help you verify your trophy's dimensions and complete the necessary paperwork. These contacts ensure your harvest is officially recognized according to standard scoring periods and drying requirements after the hunt.
