Bow Shops in Concordia Parish, Louisiana
Concordia Parish sits in a prime location for public land bowhunting, bordered by the Mississippi River and home to the Richard K. Yancey WMA. The thick bottomland hardwoods and agricultural edges create challenging corridors where close-range accuracy is mandatory. Before you head into the swamp or climb into a stand along the river levees, you need to ensure your setup is tuned for the humidity and heavy cover found in this part of Louisiana.
Vidalia serves as the local hub for archers needing technical assistance. You can find specialized service at Hewitt's Archery & Pro Shop, where they handle everything from custom string work to timing adjustments. Having a reliable shop in the parish means you do not have to drive across the bridge to get your gear sorted before the season opens.

Using bow shops in Concordia Parish
A pro shop sells and services bows, presses and tunes, cuts and builds arrows, sets nocking points and rests, and usually has a range for sighting in. Many also handle crossbow service and string replacement.
What to ask before you commit
- Do you service my bow brand, and do you stock strings for it?
- What does a full tune and paper-tune session cost?
- Can you build and spine-match arrows to my setup?
- Is the indoor range walk-in or by appointment?
- How long is the wait for a string and cable replacement?
What it usually costs
Tunes and string installs are typically modest shop-labor charges; arrow builds are priced per dozen plus components. Expect longer waits and less flexible scheduling in the weeks right before opening day.
Timing matters
Get strings replaced and your bow tuned in the off-season. Shops back up badly in the last three weeks before the opener.
